Why go to other pre-releases in town when the cap for people is set to 20!? Here at GrandLan we have our caps set at the highest in Grand Rapids! Our first Sealed event starts at 12:00am Friday night after FNM. The cost is $25.00 and it includes entry into the tournament, 3 packs of Innistrad and 3 packs of Dark Ascension! There will be door prizes throughout the night! The prize payout is two packs per person of the new set. The cap for this event is set to 48 people! To late for you? OK we have 3 more events for you to pick from! The next event kicks off at 12:30pm on Saturday. Same buy in and prize payout but the cap is set to 54 players! This event will have pizza! Our next event Is a GrandLan special! SEALED TWO HEADED GIANT!! Buy in is set at $16.00 per person and prize is 1.5 packs per person. The cap is set at 32 people (16 teams). We will be starting this event around 7:00pm-8:00pm Make sure you can stay up late this event will run into the night. And the last event will be a Sealed event on Sunday the 29th same as before $25 2packs per person prize and pizza! the cap for this event is set to 48 people! So come on into the fastest growing player base in West Michigan for this HUGE WEEKEND!!

New MtG Event Times!

GrandLAN is proud to announce new times for our Friday Night Magic events. Our early FNM now starts at 1pm on Friday and our late FNM starts at 7pm the same day. Play in two FNM events to maximize your Planeswalker Points!

Each FNM entry earns you 2 hours of PC/Xbox time usable the day of the event. Arrive early to secure your spot and use your hours to check out the latest decks, research cards, or just have fun.

Draft events are moving times too! Our new draft schedule hosts two events each week. Drafts times are Sunday at 1:30pm and Thursday at 6:30pm. Entry for these double prize events is just $15! Draft players also get 4 hours of PC/Xbox game time that is usable for the day of the event.

Finally, EDH/Commander is staying on Tuesday starting at 6:30pm. This is a casual event and it’s FREE! We frequently have over 20 players for this event. Come and learn how to play or hone your skills against seasoned players in this event. We ask all EDH/Commander players to respect our one drink minimum though there is no fee for the event itself.

Preorders for MtG: Dark Ascension are now OPEN! Just $90 reserves a box on release. Want to play in FNM? Reserve a box and your FNM fee is waived! Case reservations also available.

Hurry though, boxes guaranteed for release are limited. FNM waivers apply only to preorders on the same day. Case preorders and all preorders are subject to availability.

Learn to Play: Sentinels of the Multiverse with creator Chris Badell

Sentinels of the Multiverse is a cooperative, fixed-deck card game with a comic book flavor. Each player plays as one of 10 heroes, against one of 4 villains, and the battle takes place in one of 4 different dynamic environments.

GrandLAN is hosting a special learn-to-play event with the creator of Sentinels of the Multiverse, Chris Badell. This event is FREE, so bring your friends! Chris will walk us through a game and we will have extra copies on hand to play and teach.

The date is tomorrow, November 30, 2011 at 7pm. Please invite as many guests as you like!

Of course, if you like the game, we will also be accepting special orders to get your very own play set!
